Simple Rifle-Scope Mount

Here is my take on Bob Gray's Rifle-Scope mount for aligning runners.

It's a couple of scraps of wood and dowel held together with hot-glue. The only thing I spent any time on was the bit of thin steel I ground to the right width to clamp in the dovetail mounts.
