The 2006 North American Championship will be held starting Sunday, January 29, 2006.

Registration will be on Saturday, January 28.

When not held in conjunction with the Gold Cup, the regatta is held on three days selected by the Governing Committee and the host Rear Commodore, beginning on a Sunday. If the minimum number of races have not been completed by sunset of the third day, racing will continue on days 4, 5, 6, and 7 until the minimum number of races is completed. If the minimum number of races has not been completed by sunset Saturday, or in view of the weather and/or ice conditions the regatta is abandoned by the Race Committee, the regatta is cancelled. On the final day every effort should be made to sail all originally scheduled races.
