My family planned a weekend ski outting to Two Harbors, MN, the same weekend as the 2007 DN nationals. I was really bummed until I found out about the ice up there. This photo was taken about 6 miles north of the Duluth lift bridge looking East. There were miles of hard, clean ice. I sailed from Minnesota to Wisconson. I attached a tow rope and pulled my brother and his son over a pressure ridge (very memorable). I figured out how to give people rides. This photo has been a favorite screen saver at work to tide me through the warmer months. Thanks to everyone who welcomed me into the iceboating fold. That is just a great year to remember.
