Here is a brief report from Oliver Moore, NEIYC, who is competing in the 2014 DN Worlds in Estonia:
"Racing canceled today after one qualifier race that I think got protested because you couldn't see the weather mark. Deb Whitehorse is posting lots of updates on the IDNIYRA page for those who want to follow along at home."
Despite this update, now that the Sailors are on the ice I doubt we will hear much until the regatta is over.
Most of the US racers flew to Frankfort, Germany where they were met by International DN Ambassador, Joerg Bohn. From there they drove to Joerg’s house in Bad Zwischenahn. Once there they learned that the race site was moved from Poland to Estonia. They then drove north to catch a ferry to Denmark. Next, they drove across Denmark to catch a ferry to Sweden. Once in Sweden they drove north to Stockholm and took an overnight ferry to Tallinn. They then drove to the race site in Haapsalu, Estonia. Wow!!
