Rob Evans (10th place) was not the only MN Boy to do well at the North Americans.

John Bushy, Lake Riley Sugar Shack and Ice Yacht Club, won the Bronze fleet. How cool is that? Well done, John!

Then there is David Glick, Bald Eagle Ice Yacht Club, sailing in his first North American Championships. David did extremely well in the Silver Qualifier race and joined a select group of racers who were promoted to the Gold Fleet. Once in the Gold Fleet David immediately got his butt kicked, along with the rest of us, by Stubble, Sherry and Thieler. Welcome to the big league. Still, David showed his potential as he had several good finishes that he can be proud of.

Special thanks to Western Region Commodore Mike Miller. This was not his regatta but he stepped in frequently to offer advice and assistance. He always makes the Western Region look good! So, thank you Mr. Commodore.
