We had several guys coming up from Pewaukee to race, but Saturday's forecast of 2 MPH changed their mind. And I don't blame them. So Saturday is off.
However, Sunday's forecast is much better. So the call is made -- Spring Park, next to the Upper Minnetonka Yacht Club. Be on the line at 11 AM.
Thanks to Mike at Shorewood Yacht Club, Jason at White Bear Boat Works and Marilyn on Waconia for reporting in. Hopefully you can get the word out to your fleets about Sunday.

where have you guys been for the last 2 months?
The DNers have the marks for a course to set for you guys in Spring Park Bay, assuming we can find both them and a victim, er rube, er volunteer to set them up. If I were you guys I'd Show up and bark some off, supposed to be great wind,... it'll be good to see those things out rippin again.
What do you guys need to go rippin? Marks? PRO? Boatspeed? Rum? I think the DN fleet can help you find it.

marks
Don't want any rum, but I'll be glad to set marks. I'll bring starting blocks as well and if there's a fair turnout, we'll use them as well just to give any new guys the experience.

Waconia update
FYI, I have been sailing the South & East sides of Waconia for the last 3 days and the ice is in pretty good shape. A few cracks to watch out for out on the main body of the lake between the island and the East boat launch/parking lot. They all are frozen and had no problems crossing at speed. The surface is fast even though it is rippled white ice.
