Race Track for Fire on Ice, presented by Great Clips, is open for track testing,
January 27, 2010 - 16:14 — the IceMaker
It's a bit bigger, and much wider in the jybe turns, can't wait to see how the sailors find it during track testing. The track is currently being sailed by some guy who I'd never met.
I sailed for a couple hours on the South track today from 1-3 with a NW wind of 5-8 MPH. I had some good laps and got her wound up a few times. The corners have a larger turning area than last year, so it appears you could have 4 racers per race and be safe in the lighter predicted winds. The snow banks are only 4-8 inches high, so easy to see the course and not so high to bust anything should you go over the "wall".
Come on out everybody, especially from the Twin City area. Saturday promises to be a big event.
Thanks Mark, for the track prep. The blades scraped out any bumps and humps, so it is pretty smooth. The Ice Maker has this track prep all figured out!
WSW at 6 while light breeze is right on the beam on the Red (North) Track. We could see a lot of runner flying... if you girls line them up. Make sure they're sharp.

Sailing today; Track Testing for Fire on Ice.
5369 and 4695 plan to test sail and sanction the Fire on Ice track about noon today.
Somebody's already Sailing
Some dude was setting up when I got to Phalen this morning, with 4889 numbers but not 4889
Light breeze 5 - 8 mph he was sailing the south course in under a minute a lap... going pretty good, no control issues.
5369 just called and is driving over to Phalen now.
Soon on my way...
