This is the boat that caught my eye at the Races. It is DN 60 I was talking about in the comment on the Fire on Ice Saturday Thread. The video captures the magic of a boat that coasts on little or no air. Full credit goes to the skipper who got a good sprint start & took a good line on the ice. I noticed a comment related to the 'high tech composite boat not having raced against DN 60 directly. I meant no disrespect toward the molded boat with the 4 plastic screws in the cockpit holding on the plank. I don't care if your boat costs $700 or $7,000. I admit its the luck of the draw with light to calm winds for each skipper. If a car (new toyota) costs 10 times what mine (1990 mazda) costs I would expect it to perform a tad better than mine. What with the gas pedal recall I find my beater car quite comfy/safe~!I did go look over the Red DN 60 after the races. It was modest, humble, under stated. Notice the Red rider #60 lapping the other boats towards the end of the race. ... If the skipper of DN 60 wants to chime in about the hours of honing / Lazar alignment & custom balancing that he did to prepare his boat I think people would be interested. I don't think that's the case here. ... more likely just "Je ne sais Quoi"
