For Hutt, this is how he ended his season. For the 8 or so others it was a great warm soft ice day in up to 20MPH gusts. I only flipped twice causing a bend in both directions of my mast tang!
For me until next december!

Looks just like my last day 2009, redux
'cept I also got a sidestay, one chock, a hole in one side, and a busted sideboard.
Glad the pilot is OK!

Didn't you do that last sprinf on tonka too???
DN 5050
DN 5050
but he didn't do it again this year...
I believe he said, "Hutt, you ended your season this year like I did last year"
Except Hutt's damage less serious, In all 3 boats were deplanked this week finding new cracks, a spar, a side stay.
I thought we always sailed until we busted two boats...
4 DN's remain on the ice in Cottagewood, Thursday is looking swell.

We normally quit after two...
Of the 15 might be 20 (I think) DNs sailing over the past nine days, three found cracks, and tore off planks. One boat sailed the next day, one easily could have, but for an available spare boat, and one got tired and went home to repair it properly for next season.
The consensus on the ice was if we were on regatta, all three would have been competing the next day.
