It's ON! Great Western Challenge is a GO - In Wisconsin

7 Dec 2014 3:00 pm

For the first time ever we are handing the reins to our good friends in Madison at the Four Lakes Ice Yacht Club.

Minnesota had it's early ice and now we move on. We won't make anybody drive by the good ice in Madison.

Lake Kegonsa it is.

Lodging and the Launching information will be posted on the Four Lakes Ice Yacht Club web site

http://iceboat.org

Those of you from Minnesota, don't worry, it's the same driving distance to Madison as it would have been to any sailable ice around here.

Think Ice!

Western Challenge

The DN Class has been in discussion the past few years with Darling Marks below the weather mark and above the leeward mark. It is not expected to pass the NIA or IDNIYRA prior to any regattas this year. They have asked 4 Lakes to experiment with it at this years Challenge. Check out the course and finish procedure on their website.
