2006 DN Western lakes Region Championship Regatta is “ON” for this weekend, January 7th & 8th
Location: Lake Winnebago out of Fond du Lac, WI
Directions to launch: Hwy 41 North form Milwaukee.
Exit 106 @ Hwy N East to the lake.
Turn right (South) ¼ mile to the “Wayside”

Good racing on saturday..
Great day out on the ice....
wind 7-12kts..

ice was hard and smooth with bumps...
8 races - four gold/four silver
The wind got lighter as the day went on and with the bumpy ice you had to keep the boat rolling.
About 35 boats in the gold fleet and 25 in the silver fleet. The Primary Race Officer and his crew have been doing a great job.
Matt Strubel, us183 is leading the regatta after day 1 with 4 bullets.
i'm not doing so hot with a 25,17,20,30..
