There are two small hotels in Pepin and additional lodging in Wabasha (south about 9 mi.) and Red Wing (about 31 mi. north).
The ice was polished by recent rain and rated as a 7 (better than when it was sailed last weekend).

Western Region Lake Pepin 2009 Lake City / Red Wing Lodging
As owner of the Lake City AmericInn and a sailor of an old DN we invite you to consider staying at our Lake City AmericInn or our Red Wing AmericInn for the upcoming '09 Western Region DN Regatta. We are offering a very special nightly rate of $50. Our Lake City AmericInn is 5 Nautical Miles from Pepin by boat or aprox 25 miles by road as you have to round the lake. We have a large pool, spa and sauna.
Next year, if Lake City is considered as a regatta site we would be happy to sponsor a Regatta and we would provide trophies, our lobby, & conference room as well as provide rooms for the judges and race support. We have sponsored sailing regattas and would love to sponsor and try to grow local ice boating interest in Lake City.
Please consider the Lake City AmericInn (651-345-5611.) or the Red Wing AmericInn (651-385-9060.) Mark & Cathy Nichols.

Thanks for the generous offer, we've used the Lake City Property in the past, 3 years ago as HQ for a DN North Americans...
Pepin is one of the most spectacular places in the world to sail. And we like to sail where people like us, and want us to come.
We're sure to be talking soon.
Carpe DN (it promises to be an epic weekend of sailing)

Harbor View, "an unanticipated boon in the back of beyond"
New York Times, of the Harbor View Cafe,
"The restaurant is an unanticipated boon in the back of beyond, with a terrific wine list (five Ridge zinfandels, for example, and several Calera pinot noirs). The vegetable cooking is of a very high order (we had delectably lemony kale), and the blackboard menu offers pheasant raised just up the road, plus dishes you don't often see at your corner bistro, like Norwegian meatballs, made of pork and veal, in a sour-cream sauce flavored with cardamom."
