st. croix revisited

I got to thinking the other day about the the fear some have of the Croix;the Hudson River was and is a Ice boating site, why not the croix? The lower st. croix is 50 feet deep in most places and when it freezes has no more issues than any other body of water.
The river has almost zero use in winter and is awesome without snow(most ice is):>)Perhaps I'll see you out there this year.

Kent

I sail both last year, but

I sail both last year, but Stillwater area sucks; to narrow and too many fisherman made for a really rough ride.
The lower lake section was awesome! Almost zero human activity.
