sailing sun 12/30
checked ice fri noon. quite smooth but still needs freezing as water under top layer of ice. should be good by sun as quite cold fri night and sat. should be checked again sat by harrys for sailing sun and mon before pos snow mon. Ice needs to be checked before sailing!!

hazards after rain
We sailed Riley Saturday, with a very nice ice surface. But hazards do exist from the rain, with a couple of limited areas of thick shell ice. One area was wet shell, that DN's could sail over but a snowmobile broke through. The other two areas were about 3/4" thick and runners dropped through. No damage or injury, but be cautious on all area lakes. We will sail again Sunday.
