Thursday is the new Friday

A perfect afternoon to cruise and scout a big sheet of ice. A small seam to the west of the launch site.
Could have crossed it, but Dirk drilled 2 inches on the wet spot. No reason so stay to the East side of the lake. I measured a 1 3/4 mile space to the east. Way up the east end observed open water. The rest of this huge space was drilled at 4+ inches. No wet spots or open seams.
Then Eric Smith and I wound it up for some fun match racing! He is faster than me on the down wind port tack! So what does that mean! Not much wind for Friday but Saturday looks great. The ice is rated an 8 so doesn’t take much. Huge thanks to Dirk Siems for walking and drilling Christina last Monday. He enjoyed sailing yesterday with a kiting buddy along with Wegger and Martinson on their mini Skeeters.
T unloaded 2 boats as the sunset after driving 24 hours non stop. Lots of room to play with social distance in mind.
