is any ice closer than ashby to the metro area? only sunday to sail but drive seems excessive even to a committed boater. give a shout if anyone is sailing and where !!! thanks , sternsteer
I have been out as far as Litchfield and Hutchinson today and the lakes out there are all covered w/ about 4+ inches of snow everything west to SD and south of there had even more last week.
I talked to John who sails stern steerers and DN's in N/W Ia. he said all of the smaller lakes all have 4+ inches of snow, but Okoboji-Spirit Lake havent frozen yet. Probably in the next day or so with these temps. He said Clear Lake Ia. should be about the same.
Lafayette did look nice this morning. The main lake is still liquid.
Has anyone been over by Excesior and the channel by Big Island yet?
How about Lake Pepin? Might be early for that Lake. How did Buffalo fair w/ the snow?
Has anyone seen any sexy ice anywhere else in the the state or Eastern Wi.? Hopin to go sailin this weekend. Pray for wind.
