I walked lower Minnetonka today from Shorewood Yacht Club East to Big Island. The massive snow storm last weekend sunk the ice and is now refrozen. Conditions good, 5 out of 10. Measured 4"-8", some hard snow ice, some black ice. Good from Shorewood yacht club to Harry's. Did not check the main part of the lower lake. There is less than 1" of powder on top from this morning's snow. Some bumps from ice that was breaking up in the wind while forming. I plan on setting up the Skeeter at Shorewood yacht club tomorrow morning.

Minnetonka
Sailed Minnetonka again on Saturday. 1 Skeeter, 1 Nite, 2 DN's. The main part of the lake is definetely the smoothest. Understanding that there is a large group that went to Winnebago, I was still very surprised there were not more recreational sailors out. Looks like there might be wind on Monday, but also snow comming.
Minnetonka
We sailed Minnetonka today;
Gideon's, Echo, down along Greenwood and down to Harry's is pretty rough but sailable. Main lake is much smoother snow ice with the exception of a few large drifts covering 4" of slush.(wow can that stop ya quick!)
No idea on ice thickness other than it proved to be enough to hold up a Skeeter and a Nite everywhere we went.
