Lake Minnetonka
Beautiful weekend on Tonka in warm sunshine. DN’s ripped up the Main Lake North end on Sat They had one nice patch of new freeze about 4” thick to play on. JH Peterson posted on FB photos of all in race mode.
The Wayzata Beach launch has a working wet seam, just off shore. Launching for most was at Harry’s easement on Park Place left at Cottagewood Store. Sunday the group of 8 DN’s moved toward Brackets Pt to test out the new ice, guessed it was 4”. Had to squeeze in a course due to small heaves. Still some rough areas to rumble through. Had to pick a spot on the downwind. Probably had a 3/4 mile course.
Jud Dayton had his beautiful Rumble seat Skeeter out and offered at least 3 of us to take it for a spin!
What a rush!!
Looks to be a dry week, so plenty of room for more

ice looks to be good all week for next weekend
looking good for repeat of this weekend for next weekend before xmass many dn races sat sun with many other iceboaters in many types of boats out there. get that boat out of storage and join the fun. jud daytons skeeter sailed on the newest incredibly smooth ice so was plenty thick for that. a couple dners took a break from racing and sailed his beautiful skeeter. meyer
